The ‘20s

Hey Beautiful! It’s been a minute. Well, more like a year and a half. Since my last post, a global pandemic began, I finished grad school, and I moved back to DC. With that recap done, let’s move on to the post…

My 25th birthday is around the corner and I’ve been reflecting on my life a lot these days. Yesterday, it occurred to me that most of my birthdays have been spent at school or at church when it falls on Easter weekend. This will be the first birthday that neither will occupy my time.

So now that my circumstances have changed, what do I want for the next quarter-century?

I’d like to travel more. I spend far too much time thinking about warm beaches in Florida, mountains in Montana, and the rainforest in Belize. Hopefully, I’ll visit these places and others sooner rather than later.

I’d like to fill my photo album with more pictures. Looking at the ones in there now has filled me with so much joy. For example, there are pictures from my first visit to Tombs with friends and the time my siblings and I took a road trip to see Citizen Cope perform. I love to think about the stories behind these pictures and this pandemic has made it more apparent that moments with the people you love should be captured.

Lastly, I’d like to change the direction of this blog. I’ve been growing into myself and I’ve been striving to be intentional. I’d like to share that here from time to time. If you initially came to this blog for my beauty posts, thank you. I hope you stick around and grow with me.
