New Release: PRIDE Live in Color Collection

Happy June! I’m trying something new today. Instead of a review, I want to discuss a release I’m super excited about.

For the uninitiated, we’re currently celebrating Pride Month. I’m sure you’ve noticed that a lot of brands have joined the bandwagon with rainbow-themed products, but one brand has really set an example. Do you know which one? Morphe!

Morphe will release the PRIDE Live in Color Collection today. It includes the 25L Live in Color Artistry Palette and the Live in Color 7 Piece Eye Brush Set.

Now here’s the exciting part: the palette will retail for $20 and the brush set for $28 and 100% of net proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project. This organization provides 24-hour suicide prevention and crisis intervention services for LGBTQ+ youth.

This is incredible. I don’t know of any brand that has ever donated 100% of net proceeds to another organization.

Shades

The 25L Live in Color Artistry Palette is truly a celebration of the LGBTQ+ experience. Morphe clearly put a lot of thought behind the shade names. Here are some examples:

• Stonewall: The 1969 Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village served as a catalyst for the gay rights movement
• 1978: The year the first rainbow flag was designed as a community symbol for the gay rights movement

• Parade: For the first Pride parade on June 28, 1970 and all the Pride parades it has inspired
• Milk: Harvey Milk was a civil and human rights activist and one of the first openly gay elected officials in the United States

• Life: Red on the rainbow flag symbolizes life
• Pride: For Pride 2019, Morphe is honoring The Trevor Project and their work with LGBTQ+ youth in crisis

Final Thoughts

The PRIDE Live in Color Collection is stunning. I own one Morphe palette ( the Jacyln Hill) that’s quite pigmented so I imagine the same is true of their newest addition. And you can’t beat the price point. So who’s picking this up at launch? Let me know in the comments below!
